Spam & Snow @ MIT

I'm at MIT for a geeky anti-spam conference.

It's deja-vu all over again: Bayesian filters, false positives, how many
different ways to spell Viagra -- boring...

Content filtering has reached the point of diminishing returns.

Boykin's talk is one example of the new school. SPF and DK and IIM are another. Esther Dyson is already talking about the Accountable Net.

I believe that sender authentication, reputation, and accreditation are the way of the future.
