You think I'm over the hill
You think I'm past my prime
Let me see what you got
We can have a whoppin' good time
Over the hill? Past his prime? No way!
Amazon shipped me Bob Dylan’s latest album (released last week) – just in time for the Labor Day weekend.
Modern Times is a real masterpiece and I bet several songs will find their way into subsequent “Dylan’s greatest hits” CDs. Dylan at his best: lyrics, music and delivery. I’ve been playing it nonstop for the last two days, with short interruptions for Johnny Cash’s creepy but superb cover of Springsteen’s “I’m on Fire”.
To satisfy another sense, we spent the afternoon at the Legion of Honor to see
Monet in Normandy. Fabulous paintings. I’m probably giving away my engineering bent by disclosing my favorite painting is
Road at La Cavée, Pourville.
