Startup or Hip Hop? 10% Luck, 20% Skill, 15% Power of Will

You might be as stunned as I was to discover, courtesy of Fort Minor, parallels between hip hop and tech startups:

This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill

Fifteen percent concentrated power of will

Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain

And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!

It’s an almost perfect image: Mike Shinoda has got the ingredients right, but the ratios feel a bit off. I would increase luck and concentrated power of will, at the expense of pain.
